You Be The Judge – The Verdict
This is my opinion on “the verdict” share yours!
The verdict
I believe that with the decision that the judge and the parole board made was a fair and just decision, which should have made every one happy.
as for the concern of the prosecutor, who was worried about all the others who were serving a sentence being influenced to scape, the judge
made it clear that if you scape, you will have to serve time in jail no matter what! and as for the people and moral aspect of the issue the board
took back the sentence for the drug case. I don’t think of anything else that could bring this case to a better ending.

The Verdict
Government is a social convention and the rules that are defined by it are in fact defined by people indirectly. On the other hand, human relations are not always based on solid logic. Most of the time delicate emotions are incorporated in these relations, yet these interactions should always be on a logical basis. Judicial system of a government monitors citizens’ relations and its rules should be grounded on the nature of these relations, not vise versa. Therefore justice is not applying the rules strictly logical; otherwise they could input these rules to a computer and then define law cases for it and the computer would give out the verdict. No judge would be needed. Sometimes by considering different aspects of a case, the decision can be made with a tinge of mercy. In my opinion LeFevre’s case is one of those cases that by examining her behavior during past 32 years, we can say she deserves to be treated with mercy. Hence I agree with the verdict that was finally delivered.
